The first-time manager program is a unique leadership training opportunity for anyone who is looking to succeed in their role as a manager. Our goal is to provide leadership training for the hands-on learner and this experience is no exception. We will teach you how to be an effective manager, will cover any questions or challenges that you may be having as a leader, and you'll have an opportunity to practice your new skills before heading back to the office. All participants will leave with new tools and knowledge they can begin using right away.
What to Expect
Day 1: The first day will be spent in the classroom where we'll cover how to transition from team member to manager, conduct employee evaluations, have difficult conversations, build in accountability, write effective goals, use goals to lead and motivate a team, and how to set yourself up for your next promotion. Lunch is provided.
Day 2: Day 2 will be spent on the ranch with our horses. You will experience our popular Equus Excursion and will have an opportunity to practice leadership skills including nonverbal communication, confidence, command vs. demand, presence, courage, and staying calm in a stressful situation. Snacks provided.
